Values

Congregation Beth Messiah strongly values the fact that there is diversity within the Body of Messiah in general and in our congregation in particular.  Though our congregation lives out our faith in Yeshua with a Biblically Jewish flavor and expression, we welcome people of all background’s to unite with our vision and calling.   Some particular values that we have at Congregation Beth Messiah include:

  1. We value Shabbat (Sabbath), therefore… we have our weekly meeting on Saturdays at 5 PM so that people can enjoy Shabbat and then come together for a congregational worship service.
  2. We value the Biblical/Jewish holidays, therefore… we celebrate Passover, Sukkot (Tabernacles), and the other Biblical holidays in a Messiah–centered way.
  3. We value the Jewish context of the Scriptures, therefore… we emphasize that the Bible is a Jewish book (Rom 3:2) that is written for all people!
  4. We value an intimate connection with Israel and the Jewish community, therefore… we take seriously the call to bless Israel (Gen 12:3) and pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).  We seek to serve and connect with the Atlanta Jewish community as well as to the people and Land of Israel.
