Missions
At Congregation Beth Messiah, we want to be a launching pad for missions. It is our goal to raise up red-hot lovers of God who have a passion to make Yeshua known “to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles” (Rom 1:16). We want our congregation to be a place which spawns all kinds of life in the Kingdom of God. We want to raise up and send out disciples of Messiah who are willing to give their lives to missions, congregation planting, and other kingdom work. And we want to raise up people whom God does not call to “go” to have a passion for supporting and sending those whom He has called.
It is the goal of our leadership to give our congregation a vision for God’s heart to bring His truth, salvation, and life to the ends of the earth. We want our congregation to have a sturdy theological foundation for missions as well as a broad exposure to how God is moving to make Yeshua known and loved to the ends of the earth. We attemp to instill this vision in our congregation through:
1. Giving – Financially supporting missions is fundamental to the DNA of Congregation Beth Messiah. As a congregation we designate 10% of our budget for missions.
2. Prayer – Praying for missions is fundamental to the DNA of Congregation Beth Messiah. As a congregation we regularly pray for individual missions and missions in general.
3. Going – Participating in missions is fundamental to the DNA of Congregation Beth Messiah. We plan to offer mission trips for the congregation to be a part of every year.
